Borf

Well, today was an oddball day. Only had all 3 kiddos for the morning thanks to my awesome lil bro. But, also have had some deeper things come up that are almost nice to avoid thinking about through the chaos that is having the nuggets there. So- though certainly not bad- today was different than the norm.

This morning however was your standard Smith household of craziness. Big kids made orange juice.
Mmm. So very appetizing.

Little kid continues to think getting off the bed is a hurdle just too big to conquer.
With that said- her upper body strength is impressive. She can hang there for an indefinite amount of time....even with doggie kisses distracting her concentration.

Lucy threw a tea party for her closest friends.
So nice that they all could make it.

And Violet continued to refuse to wear clothes like a normal human being.

My afternoon was deep in MOPS planning when Uncle called to ask if Jack and/or Lucy were free for a movie date. Lucy was at school so Jack got to have a fun afternoon.
Eat a snack before you go, buddy. "No mom, Caleb always buys me stuff, and they have grrrrrreat food at the movies"

Only the best.

Lucy came home and brought out her library book from school.

......

Couldn't think of a better way to spend my afternoon than reading about the common "silky"

I enjoyed the snuggle time though, however quickly realized things were a bit too abnormal.
Lucy is calm and snuggly for only one reason- illness.

Also- Violet is an awesome little sister.

Nothing seemed too bad though, so I allowed her to go with Uncle Caleb to the Build a Bear store (he offered when he returned with Jack- not sure what pill he took this morning but let's hope it becomes a daily thing).

They returned with the most elaborate build a bear creation I have ever seen. I've gone once to that place and I believe it involved the words "sale rack, no sounds, no clothes" haha.

Not this trip!! "Julia" the bear came home with every bell, whistle, and accessory- she is even strawberry scented!

Thanks for ruining it for the rest of us, Caleb.

Though I'm sure she'll talk about it all day tomorrow. And I do mean all. day. I'll have to have her call you and tell you all about it. I hope the recollection takes at least an hour of your time.

She also however came home with a fever :(. She went right to bed, and I'm not sure what tomorrow will bring.

Maybe I should have known something was off earlier today-
"Look, Mom! I spelled barf"

Luckily she doesn't have school Wednesdays so hopefully she can get some rest in and be revamped by Thursday.

Here's to hoping this mama can also rest, and find peace and direction within her own thoughts as the chaos of sick babies, and marathon Wednesdays hits!
