The Nuggets

Leading our brood is Miss Luciana. She is nearly 6, full of spunk, and has us continually baffled. She always has something AMAZING to talk about, and literally never stops talking. Literally. She will either be in an mental institution, or the president of the United States when she is an adult. And we'll love her no matter what. She is so fun, and so adventurous and I wouldn't change a thing about her; except maybe a bit more flexibility in her diet- that'd make life so much simpler.

Our middle brood member is Jackson. This guy is one detail oriented fellow. He prefers encyclopedias on bugs or dinosaurs for his bedtime reading, and is constantly asking questions. He likes alone time, and his when pitched the idea of a party for his 4th b-day, he requested only his grandpa to attend. He is passionate, and quirky, emotional, and driven. We love this dude more than anything and it is a pleasure raising him. Also, he takes great pride in the fact that he can touch his shoulder with his tongue.

Finishing out the brood is Miss Violet. She was the world's easiest infant. I thought it was a fluke, and didn't allow myself to trust how easy she was to raise for a long time. She was the perfect newborn, ate well, rarely fussed, slept GREAT. At about 12 months I finally began admitting how easy she was; it was about this time that she turned the corner and became the most adventurous toddler I have ever experienced. Nothing is safe. Nothing goes ignored. It goes far beyond locking the cleaning supplies. She enjoys climbing furniture you never thought could be climbed, plays peek-a-boo almost constantly, and really REALLY likes everything the toilet has to offer.

Also, we have Ladybird. The beloved family pet that we got when I was 8 months pregnant with Violet (that was a GREAT idea). She is very loved, but here's what I have to say about her; don't get a dog.
