My name is Brittany S. I am a wife to Daniel, mama to 3, and a devoted Christian. I've lived in the suburbs of Seattle for almost 4 years. Having had 3 kids by age 26, I am typically the youngest mom in the crowd and struggled daily with not being that "perfect model" that seems to be expected nowadays.
I find matching my kids socks entirely time consuming and rarely do that; so far there doesn't seem to be too much damage to their self esteem. I really, really like chocolate; if I am going to break a diet it will almost definitely involve something chocolate being offered up.
I was raised in upstate New York, and miss the people, and perhaps even more so the food. Any New Yorker will understand this. For those of you from elsewhere; you should visit NY- and just eat the entire time. With that said, I much prefer the weather of the Pacific Northwest, and LOVE our decision to plant our roots here. I have no plans or desire to ever leave, with the exception of a few mid-winter trips to warmth.
I'm the coordinator of a local MOPS group, and if you have never been to MOPS or heard of it, you must look it up. It saved my sanity, and created the network of friends I so desperately needed.
When all is said and done. I'm normal, and I'm real, and I have a new goal of being honest and open with others I encounter. Please know that I don't think my opinion is always right, or even well thought out, and I'm well aware that my grammar is not the best. I do however hope that in my honesty you will find me relatable and be encouraged in knowing you're not alone in this world of perfection.
Blogging is something I know very little about, but I like the idea of an outlet for my inner adult to get to be exposed, and this allows me to do so without exposing the innocent ears of my children to my true mom confessions.
