Sunshine

For those of you who don't have kids yet- your morning wake ups will never again be an alarm.

Light just starting to peek through the sky, slept well and through the night (a rarity post children) Rolled over, opened my eyes...
Kids are creepy.

It's almost as bad as the floating head that appears 1 inch from your face in the middle of the night- that get's a gasp out of me every time.

Quickly headed into the day. It was a rough start with "the patch" poor nugget can't see a dang thing when it's on. "Everything is dark" "I can't see colors"
Ha- those are definite exaggerations.
We made it an hour. With bribery.

It's actually sad to see how frustrating it is for her to wear it; part of it is truly justified. Hoping improvement is quick and this hurdle can be in the past.

Next we made jello.
"Jack distracted me for ONE second, Mom. It's fine though- just don't look at it"

Around this time Jack also taught us that if you stick an orange in the microwave for 2 minutes it does not, in fact, smell zesty at all.

After that was cleaned, we headed to Grams for the two smallest nuggets to do quiet time while Lucy and I got some time together. "Gram will never let you in her house Jack, your nails are disgusting".

Much to Lucy's chagrin Gram welcomed Captain Dragon Nails with open arms.

After delivering some cookies, and before shopping for the world's most perfect present I finished off a gift card and took the biggest to lunch
Of course she asked to get a big pizza, and ate about 1.5 more bites than pictured here before she was full.

Next we hit the toy store----annnnd 75 minutes later reemerged with the most perfect gift. Believe me- we looked at every item in that store.

If you ever get a gift from Miss Luciana know that a lot of thought went into it.

TO THE PARTY!
One horse shoe painting titled "Sunshine" and a ride around the barrels later, her heart was full.

Also- if you can imagine 14 5 year old girls on a horse farm with animals, and cake, and painting, there is a lot of squealing.
"Duncan" the horse expresses the experience quite nicely.

We ended the day with a fun family hour of hanging out and wrestling with dad
...And eating spatulas.

One cookie for dessert before bed, despite Jacks desperate plea for 10. One or zero buddy? He responded with, "how about zero moms"....no cookie for Jackson.

Two small nuggets seem to be asleep. Lucy is asking me to come upstairs so she can tell me secrets. This is bound to be good.
